Intuit Discontinues QuickBooks Desktop 2020 Services
Each year, Intuit discontinues access to the add-on services and support to the desktop versions of QuickBooks versions that are over 3 years old. If you are using QuickBooks Desktop 2020 (for Windows and Mac) certain services and features after May 31, 2023 may no longer be available. This includes all desktop versions of QuickBooks 2020 (Pro, Premier, Premier Accountant, and Enterprise Solutions v20). This also means you won't receive critical security updates starting June 1, 2023, so if you receive any security updates before this date, install them.
What this may mean
Any “add-on service” that you are using from Intuit (payroll, online banking, online backup, etc.) will no longer be available unless you upgrade to a newer product.
Live technical support will no longer be available from Intuit.
Intuit will not guarantee that you can register products or retrieve key codes.
“Note: if you do not use any of the add-on services in QuickBooks 2020, your desktop product will continue to work for you, but you will not be able to have access to live technical support or any other Intuit services that integrate with QuickBooks 2020 without upgrading first.”
